About Us

There is a moment after family worship when the house goes quiet and the children are in bed — and you realize that the most important thing you did today happened in that hour, not at a desk or a screen.

Mustard Seed Press was born in that kind of moment.

The Echoes of Silva Island series began as bedtime stories — told after family worship, for children who needed adventure and truth woven together. Those stories grew into books. Sacred Well grew out of something harder to admit: the recognition that leading a family in worship consistently is difficult, and that I needed help doing it. So tools were built — simple ones, meant to make it easier for a father to show up faithfully at the family altar, week after week.

We make two kinds of things: stories worth reading aloud, and tools that make it easier to lead your family in worship.

The stories are fiction — but they're shaped by the conviction that a child who grows up inside a great narrative learns to love truth before they can argue for it. The tools are simple — but they rest on the belief that the father who leads his family in prayer on a Tuesday night is doing some of the most consequential work in Christendom.

We are a small press. We intend to stay that way. But we believe small things grow — not because of who plants them, but because of who tends them.

"The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches."

— Matthew 13:31-32
